PTT Fiber PTT Fiber Somalor-PTT fiber Key technical features and benefits
1) Softness Both Somalor flat and textured yarns, created from Sorona polymer, bring an exceptional new level of softness to any fabric at an easily-workable denier. Somalor yarns are softer than those made from polyester or nylon, at the same DPF, because less effort is required to bend Somalor fiber.
2) Stretch with recovery (2-3greater than nylon) Both Somalor flat and textured yarns may be made into fabrics with advanced levels of comfortable. Fully drawn Somalor yarn recovers 100% from approximately 120% strain. Even at high strain levels, Somalor fibers recover completely, returning to their initial form. In application to the fabrics such as velour, Somalor fiber provides high stretch and excellent comfort for fabrics. For textured yarns, Somalor fibers offer up 145% stretch with 100% recovery, allowing for hysteresis effect normally.
Present in textured yarn, Somalor fiber supports a more substantial recovery than others do. In addition, Somalor textured yarns provide greater bulk and cover than nylon, using the same denier products.
3) Easy dyeability at the boiling point with no carriers Using standard available dyes, Somalor fiber can be dyed at a lower temperature than PET, without requiring pressure or chemical carriers. The Somalor fiber molecule enables the crystalline structure of the fiber to begin accepting the dye pigment below the boiling point, at approximately 85c. Full depth of color is achieved at the boiling point, with outstanding wash fastness. Blending and knitting with Somalor fiber, it can i***rt vibrant colors to fabrics, thus i***rting its own unique benefits to the final products.
4) Heatsettability For easy-care fabrics, Somalor fibers are heatsettable and, if the process is completed correctly, Heatsetting does not diminish the stretch AND recovery capacity of Somalor fibers. Most importantly, Somalor fibers are heatset at lower temperatures than polyester, providing manufac |
